All Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on General Aviation is the voice of GA inside Parliament. We are now the largest group of its kind in Parliament, with over 150 members from all parties and both Houses of Parliament. We promote the objective – as set out by the Government – of making the UK the best country in the world for General Aviation, and to stimulate interest in the sector.

So far pressure from the Group has led to reforms to national planning policy that will protect airfields, the appointment of the Department for Transport’s first ever GA Champion and forced the Housing and Defence Ministries to look again at proposals that would close GA Airfields.
